Not (Yet) Cancelled

With Not (Yet) Cancelled, this year's Weltformat Graphic Design Festival investigates the effects of change and transformation on design. The festival discusses challenges related to constant change but especially the potential and opportunities that come along with it.

Change, movement, upheaval: steady flux accompanies and influences us constantly – personally and as a society. While change is often synonymous with progress, and many a major or minor innovation creeps into our everyday lives without us taking much notice of it, sudden changes hit us – unprepared – with full force.

How do designers react to unforeseen but drastic events? And how do they react to the constant change – caused by technical innovations, new trends and changing needs –, which we all face? How does the industry deal with exceptional situations and circumstances? Do exciting projects arise especially in times of restrictions and cancellations? Does the strength of design lie in navigating us through uncertainties – and is this the reason it always remains relevant?

With Not (Yet) Cancelled, this year's Weltformat Graphic Design Festival investigates the effects of change and transformation on design. The festival discusses challenges related to constant change but especially the potential and opportunities that come along with it.

We are looking forward to the festival!
